Frequently Asked Questions

What is NAEYC accreditation?

Early childhood programs accredited by the NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive process of internal self-study, invited external professional review to verify compliance with the Criteria for High Quality Early Childhood Programs, and been found to be in substantial compliance with the criteria. The criteria can be found on NAEYC’s web site here.

What do your COVID-19 procedures look like?

Like everyone else, Hilltop CCC has had to make significant adjustments to our daily operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  As of our reopening on June 1, 2020, we require all teachers and staff to be wearing face masks at all times.  We also require parents and any other adults coming into the building to be wearing a face mask.  We conduct temperature checks on every staff member and child every morning upon their entrance to the building.  We are also not allowing parents to walk through the building or enter their child’s classroom at this time.  There is a designated staff person at the front door during drop off and pickup times.

In the classrooms, we have hand washing songs and activities that are taught to the children.  We have been reading books about what germs are and how they spread.  We have also been implementing social-emotional activities that help to alleviate stressors the children may be feeling during this difficult time, such as separation anxiety.

We have two staff members who are disinfecting the classrooms and high traffic areas in the building both during the school day and after the center closes.

Please note that this is not an extensive list of our COVID-19 procedures.  Upon enrollment, families will receive our entire COVID-19 policies and procedures.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Do I have to pack a lunch for my child?

At Hilltop CCC, we are fortunate enough to partner with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) which allows us to provide breakfast, lunch, and snack every day to our enrolled children.  We serve delicious, nutritious food each day and save parents time and money in packing lunches and snacks for their children!
